So I’ve been tallying my hours on my site when I began this version in November, 2007. Tonight I hit the 500 hour mark. Not bad, eh? While I’ve still got a ways to go to populate this bad boy with content, I have got my Web Design & Development portfolio started and functioning properly (it only took forever to troubleshoot the AJAX).

I’ve included a few samples of my work from 2006 and 2007, but this week I will be concentrating most of my time on filling the web portfolio with work from 2008. While I am very proud of the every piece of work I complete, I won’t be displaying it all (don’t want to bore anyone!). I wish to keep it small, but diverse, in order to display the variety of design styles I’m capable of creating. I don’t want to end up looking like a “one trick pony” (that phrase I hear far too often on HGTV).

Well, getting things assembled is taking a bit longer than expected, but who are we kidding? It’s been years since I’ve had a fully functioning portfolio. Good news though… I’ve finally finished my photography portfolio. It’s been assembled using SlideShowPro (the same flash based gallery that I’ve been using for a number of years), Light Window (the only AJAX window to date that supports interactive SWF files), and Caffeine, a crucial compound in any design endeavor (that’s right, I directly injected it into the gallery). I’ve also set up a beautiful CMS system that runs seamlessly with SSP, and that’s SSP Director.
