Designers and Developers, Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

An interesting discussion going on over at Vitamin relating to the disconnect between web interface designers and developers. “Why is it that, so often, designers and developers find it difficult to work together? Ten questions posed by the audience at The Future of Web Design.” In my opinion if you’re either, you should have substantial knowledge of both areas! Be sure to read through the comments to find the most intriguing points.

 

AIGA RI Version 3.0

The new & improved AIGA Rhode Island Web Site has just recently been launched. Kudos to Highchair Design for the interface development & Dave Piehler from Basics Group for the wordpress back-end development.

From here on out, I will be teaming up with Dave as the Technology Co-Chair at AIGA RI, to maintain & modify the site.

 

Dave Shea, co-author of The Zen of CSS Design, on browser zoom vs. text scalability. Text scaling, a tricky browser issue that requires developers to be conscious of how sites break when users adjust the text-size, appears to becoming less of a concern due to more browsers adopting the zoom feature.
