For those of you who I speak with about design on a regular basis, you’ve probably heard me going on about Barack Obama’s website, and more specifically his logo, both of which I love. More recently, you’ve probably also heard me rambling on about the recent Pepsi logo redesign. Well, Tom Baekdal presents a great writeup pertaining to Obama’s logo… and even hints that the new Pepsi logo looks stunningly similar, and may even be based off Obama’s logo. Oh Em Gee! Check it out!

An interesting discussion going on over at Vitamin relating to the disconnect between web interface designers and developers. “Why is it that, so often, designers and developers find it difficult to work together? Ten questions posed by the audience at The Future of Web Design.” In my opinion if you’re either, you should have substantial knowledge of both areas! Over the past year or so my interest in everything typography has really flourished. I’ve begun trying my hand at minimal typography works, but creating even the most minimal pieces using typographic symbols is actually quite daunting at this point. Recently, an influx of designers interested in typography have released their creative arts on the web, many of which you can purchase! Such as these marvelous House Industries Ampersand Tee Shirts & The Ampersand Shoppe Tees.
However, thanks to Niki @ Creattica, I’ve discovered the most addicting typographic experience yet, Type Is Art. Type Is Art, is an interactive flash application that allows you to construct pieces based upon the 21 parts of letterforms. Before you go, I have to warn you… you can easily lose an afternoon on this site.
